Sol Caribe Hotel

One of Providencia's oldest, and largest hotels, the Sol Caribe is also the most expensive. It is one of the few hotels on the island to have a swimming pool. This chain hotel is found on the coast near Freshwater Bay (Bahia Aguadulce).

Cost: About 550,000 Colombian pesos (US$240) for a double room, slightly less if boooked through Expedia.com or Travelocity.com. Packages including flights can also be booked via the hotel chain.
